There is a blue perimeter dot minute/second scale with luminous pip hour indices. The blued Breguet hands have circular luminous inserts, and there is a center sweep seconds hand with a counter balance ring. The double steel-rimmed big date aperture window is at 6 o'clock, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. It has a 65-hour power reserve at full wind, and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Breguet Marine Big Date 5817ST/Y2/5V8 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Breguet caliber 51766 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 35 jewels, 285 components, and a shock absorber device. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat Silicon balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. It has a 21k gold rotor decorated with an engine-turned sunray pattern, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Breguet Marine Big Date 5817ST/Y2/5V8 was introduced in 2000, and it was manufactured until 2012.
