About Me
Who Am I? Wife of an amazing, hunky and supportive husband; a grateful mother; a blessed sister; a believer in Christ (find out more about what I believe at Mormon.org).
Underneath all of that I am a writer, a journaler of life experiences, a keeper of records and observer of everyday miracles. I love to put my pen to paper, or as it were, fingers to keyboard and paint pictures for people…. pictures of things I fear, things I love, dreams I have.
I write because it’s my gift from God. It comes naturally, like breathing. I think and dream in words and when they come together in harmony, it’s magic.
If you’re interested, here are a few random notes about Christene:
I’ve never had my ears pierced and yet I have a strange obsession with dangly earrings. If you can make them in clip on, I will wear them!
I love family history, searching out old names, learning about people who lived before me on this earth. I find it all so fascinating.
I was homeschooled from fourth grade through high school.
If I had not been homeschooled I would have been a cheerleader and volleyball player.
I plan to write songs for one of my upcoming books….
You may find me dancing in my kitchen while I cook dinner. Please don’t judge.
I once spent the day in my pajamas reading a book for a birthday present to myself.
My husband may refer to me at times as the walking thesaurus….
I am intrigued by cemeteries. I feel like there are stories right there waiting to be told.
I dream of traveling to Europe, living under the Tuscan sun, running my fingers over the old architecture and walking where Jane Austen did.
I love Jane Austen. And Dicken, CS Lewis…; JK Rowling, Shannon Hale, Stephenie Meyer, Suzanne Collins… Okay, let’s just say I love to read.
Color makes me happy. That and kid drawings. They’re so creative and real.
Alright, that’s probably enough about me. If you want to know more, just email your questions to me or follow my blog where exciting adventures await.
