Message from our Chief Executive Officer
on Environmental, Social, and Governance responsibilities

William E. Niles
Chief Executive Officer
We know that our customers, partners, employees, and investors look at all sides of our company before deciding to engage with us. We also believe that we have a responsibility to our planet, and each other, when we do business. Our company is science-based, and we are committed to acting with integrity, transparency, and excellence in all that we do.
The world we live in is often uncertain, and we take our role as a premium provider of smart security solutions very seriously. The safety and security of those we protect is always our highest priority.
As an award-winning leader in the smart home and security industries, we know that we must hold ourselves to the highest standards in everything we do.
We are committed to sharing the ongoing ways that we are improving and expanding our environmental, social, and governance responsibilities. Please read more about the work we are doing.

Environmental
We continue to explore ways to reduce waste and emissions, while increasing efficiency. Our Field Service teams are working to eliminate paper forms for a minimum of 85% of scheduled jobs. We have optimized our truck routes using automation to allow us to reduce drive time for our service and installation technicians, helping us to also reduce emissions and fuel consumption. When possible, we use remote technical support to solve customer issues before rolling a truck for a service visit. Our corporate offices print in black and white and require badge access to cut down on paper waste, and we have motion-sensing or LED lights in our offices wherever possible. We also leverage technology to reduce our travel frequencies while allowing us to stay connected. Our smart home solutions also allow our customers to monitor and reduce their energy and water consumption through devices like smart thermostats, temperature sensors, and flood detection sensors.

Social
We are defined and driven by our corporate pillars and strive to always provide the highest standards of customer service to the people we protect.
We are aware that long-term success means having the best and brightest minds in the room – and all are welcome at the table. At Brinks Home, diversity and inclusion are an integral part of our corporate culture, and our Employee Resource Groups help us shape that culture in real-time as we learn from each other. We also give back to our local community through volunteering and fundraising. Brinks Home provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.

Governance
Our employees, vendors, and partners all adhere to a Code of Ethics and follow all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Our Board of Directors follows strict corporate governance guidelines.
