More about Master Compressor Automatic SS
This is a stainless steel Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor 148.8.60. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel deployment buckle, and a scratch resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal. It has a black rotating inner ring for the GMT second time zone with luminous white Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, luminous dot and baton indices, and a red dot warning division from zero to 15 minutes. There are twin compressor crowns with twist-lock butterfly collars indicated by white and red arrows. The crown at 2 o'clock adjusts the inner ring, and the crown at 4 o'clock is utilized for time setting. The crowns have external butterfly collars that turn 1/2 turn clock-wise and counter clock-wise to compress a gasket that ensures water resistance. The white arrow indicates that the crown is secured, and the red arrow shows the crown is not secured and not water resistant. It has a screw down solid case back, and the 37mm diameter solid three-body case, lugs, and curved bezel are polished. The dial is black enamel with large luminous Arabic numeral hour markers at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock, and luminous dart indices. There is an open radial three-day date arch at 3 o'clock with a red-rimmed white arrow indicator. There are luminous steel baton hands, and a center second time zone hand with a luminous white and red arrow pointer. It's water resistant to 200 meters/660 feet, and it has a 45-hour power reserve at full wind. The 10.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor 148.8.60 has a mechanical automatic self-winding JLC caliber 899 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 32 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, a micrometer regulator, and a hacking seconds device for precision time setting. The Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor 148.8.60, like all Jaeger LeCoultre watches, must pass a rigorous 1000 hours test before leaving the factory.
